Monthly Makeup Basket

February 2018 Makeup Basket

Hi everyone! I am back with another month of goodies to use. Last month, I focused on my Lorac Mega Pro 3. I love that palette. It is the perfect balance of shades. It has shimmers, mattes, warm tones, cool tones, rosey tones, navy shades, purples, etc. It has light lid shades, darker crease shades, dark shades to emphasize the outer v. Just everything you could ask for.

After using it for a whole month, I really did not make a whole ton of progress on it. There is still quite a bit of shadow left. The result is this:

As you can see, I did not really make progress except for maybe expanding on the pan of Pink Cream (first row, top left).

As for my Lorac Pro palette, I did hit pan on Taupe, which is pretty awesome! I have been using this shade as a bronzer. I also expanded the pan of light pink. I have been using light pink to set the primer and to highlight the brow bone. Here is that progress:

Goals for my Lorac Pro will be to continue expanding pan on light pink and on taupe. I hope to also make some damage to Mauve and a bit on deep purple, but I by no means expect to hit pan on those.

For the month of February, I will be focusing on some more rosey "romantic" shades, and use the Fem Rosa Karrueche X Colourpop She palette. I will be honest, I have no idea who this collaborator is, I just saw the palette and the shades looked beautiful. If you do not know what palette I am tallking about, it looks like this:

As you can see, mine is brand new. All I have done is swatch the shades. I am pretty excited to try this out. Since this is pretty new, I don't really have goals for this palette yet.

For blush, I will be focusing on the shade Cherry from my UD Gwen face palette. It is the top left (lighter pink color).

Finally, for lips, I will be focusing on the following:

Revlon Black Cherry. I have had this lipstick for quite some time and I would like to make further progress. This is one of my older lipsticks so I don't know that it has much left. I am not necessarily going to measure it, I am just going to eye ball.

Finally, I will be working on this Kat Von D liquid lipstick in Project Chimps. This is a limited edition product. It is a brick red. I am pretty excited to be pairing it with this palette as I think it will go very well. We will see if I can make any progress what so ever.

I hope to have a couple looks for you this weekend. I will try and post an every day look as well as a going out look.

Thanks so much for reading.

Lorac Mega Pro 3 Look

Smoky Blue Eyes with Rosy Lips

Hello everyone! Today I am here with another look using my Lorac Mega Pro 3. I did a blue-ish smoky eye and paired it with a rosy lip. If you want to know how I achieved it, keep on reading.

I primed my lids using my UD primer potion and set that with the shade Pink Cream.

I took the shades Tan and Pecan which are dusty rose shades (Tan is a bit lighter) and applied that to the crease.

I then took the shade Deep Fog which is a dark shimmery navy shade and applied that to 2/3 of the lid.

I applied the shade Snow which is a shimmery white shade to the inner 1/3 of the lid.

I used the shade Dark Navy on a crease brush and applied that to the outer V to deepen the look.

I applied my Benefit Boi-ing hydrating concealer to correct my under eye circles.

I used my Nars Radiant Creamy concealer in the shade vanilla to brighten the look.

I mixed my foundations, Tarte Amazonian Clay in Fair beige and my Wet n Wild in Shell Ivory and applied that with a beautyblender.

I set my under eyes with my Laura Mercier translucent setting powder and my beautyblender.

I set my foundation with my Physician's Formula powder.

I brushed off the excess powder from my under eyes.

I filled in my eye brows using the shade espresso from my Lorac Pro palette.

I set them with my essence make me brow in brownie brow.

For a brow bone highlight, I used the shade light pink from my Lorac Pro.

I smudged some dark navy to my lower lash line.

To contour, I used the shade Taupe from my Lorac Pro palette.

I used my Tarte Amazonian Clay blush in Peaceful.

For a highlight, I used iSOCiETY COSMETICS eye shimmer in oh baby and dabbed that with my ring finger.

I set my makeup with my Mario Badescu rose water spray.

For mascara, I used my Sephora Lash Craft big volume.

I finished off the look with my Marc Jacobs lipstick in Kiss Kiss Bang Bang.

I hope you enjoyed this look!

As usual, thanks so much for reading.
