Makeup Basket

May 2018 Monthly Makeup Basket

Hello everyone! It's time for another round of monthly makeup baskets. Here are the items I will be focusing on for the month of May.
For eyes, I will be using my new Dominique Cosmetics Latte palette. I am really excited to have gotten this palette. I think it is a nice blend of warm shades along with cooler toned shadows, and jewel tones.

For lips, I will be focusing on the ISH lip palette, this way I can maximize the shades I can create and use.

Finally, for blush, I am going back to my Tarte Amazonian Clay blush in Peaceful.

Stay tuned for some looks using these products!

As usual, thanks so much for reading!

Sephora VIB Sale

Sephora VIB Sale Haul Spring 2018

Hello everyone! It is that time of the year where we, those addicted to makeup and all things beauty splurge for items at Sephora. The Spring sale provides  VIB and VIB rouge with a 15%. The following are the items that I purchased during the sale:

First, I got this set of the Bum Bum Cream. This is a luxurious feeling body butter that smells just like the beach. I love this product, it is soooo thick but absorbs so quickly! Sadly, the full size of these babies is like $20 so when I saw this little set, I had to get it!

The next item I got is the Biossance squaline + peptide eye gel. I have tried a different eye balm but I did not really feel like it was doing much for my dark circles or fine lines, so I bit the bullet and purchased this. This costs $54.

I also got a jar of the Tarte Rainforest of the sea concealer. I wanted to go a bit darker for the summer, so I picked up the shade fair light. Please note, this shade is veeery light. See the fourth picture, it is swatched next to Nars Radiant Creamy concealer in Vanilla. This concealer feels very lightweight but has pretty decent coverage.

I also got the foundation brush for the rainforest of the sea foundation. I remember the last time I used this foundation, it was not quite as full coverage, so i figured I would give the brush a shot.

I also got a bottle of the Rainforest of the Sea foundation in fair light neutral. This is a shade darker than the fair beige. Currently, the fair beige is a bit too light and pink for me and the fair light neutral is a bit dark and yellow. I mix both of the shades together to get my perfect winter shade.

This was an impulse buy but it is the translucent powder from the Sephora brand.

I also got three of the sephora lip masks, I am pretty excited about trying these as I have never tried a lip mask before.

Last but not least, these are some of the samples that came with my package:

That is everything I got! I hope you enjoyed reading this! Did you make any purchases at the Sephora VIB sale? Share your purchases in the comments below!

TheBalm Nude Beach #3

Maroon Eye Look Using TheBalm Nude Beach Palette

Hello everyone! Welcome back! Today I have another look using my TheBalm Nude Beach palette. For this look, I opted on a maroon eye with a nude lip. If you would like to know how I achieved this look, keep on reading.

I began by applying my Nyx eyeshadow base. I used a concealer brush to do this.

I then set that with the shade Cream from my Lorac Pro palette.

I took a crease brush and applied the shade Bold (a warm mid-toned brown). I applied that in the crease using windshield wiper and circular motions to blend that in.

I then took the shade Brazen (a cool dark brown shade similar to espresso from Lorac). I applied that with a smaller crease brush and focused it on the outer v.

Taking a flat shader brush, I picked up the shade Bootylicious (a shimmery maroon shadow) and applied that to the lid.

I used the airbrush concealer by benefit to brighten my under eyes. I applied this with my ring finger and focused most of the product on the darkest parts of my under eyes.

I used my Nars Radiant Creamy concealer in vanilla to further brighten the under eyes. I blended that out using a damp beautyblender.

For foundation, I used my Tarte Amazonian Clay full coverage foundation in the shade fair beige and blended that out with my beautyblender.

I set the under eyes with my Laura Mercier translucent setting powder and an angled brush.

To set the face, I used my physician's formula pressed powder and a large powder brush.

I filled in my brows using the shade espresso from my Lorac Pro palette.

I set that with my essence make me brow in browny brows.

For my brow bone highlight, I used the shade light pink and applied that to the inner corner as well.

I used a bit of the bootylicious shade and smudged that with an angled brush to the lower lash line.

For contour, I used the shade Taupe from my Lorac Pro palette.

For blush, I used my iSOCiETY COSMETICS blush in lady bug.

For highlight, I opted for a more natural look and used my Laura Mercier matte radiance highlight in 01.

I set my makeup with my Mario Badescu rose water spray.

For mascara, I used my Urban Decay Troublemaker mascara and applied two coats to the top lashes.

To finish the look, I used a bareminerals plumping lipgloss in charmer (a milky pink).

I opted to skip the liner but if you want to add that extra drama and make the lashes look fuller, I would suggest tightlining the waterline (line both the top and bottom waterlines).

I hope you enjoyed this look!

As usual, thanks for reading!
