Weekly Makeup Basket January 31st – February 7th

Hello everyone! Welcome back! I know I took like a week hiatus but things were just really busy and hectic. Since I did not post my biweekly basket last weekend, I am going to just do a weekly basket for this coming week as I have been using these products for the past week.

For eye liner I will be using both of my liners, NYX felt tip liner in black (sorry about the blurry pictures), and the Stila liquid liner in Java.

For eyes, I will be using my Too Faced Everything Nice palette from the 2014 collection.

For lips, I am focusing on my UD Gwen Stefani lipstick samples, the shades are 714, Ex-girlfriend, rock steady, and firebird.

For powder, I am using my Mary Kay loose powder in Ivory. I really do not enjoy this powder so I am trying really hard to get it used up and out of my collection.

For bronzer, I am using the Too Faced Chocolate Soleil. I am almost done with my Too Faced Milk Chocolate Soleil so I will be adding that in to use it up. I really just have a ring on the sides of the pan left. For highlight, using the highlight from the Everything Nice Palette, Inner Light.

Finally, for blush I am using Too Faced Everything Nice in Sweet Pink.

I hope to have a look using these products soon.

Once again, thanks for reading! :-)

Urban Decay Gwen Stefani collection Look

Hello everyone! Welcome back! I am on a roll this weekend posting some looks for you using the UD Gwen Stefani palette and some of the lippie samples. Today's look is using the colors Harajuku, Stark, and Punk with the lippie Firebird.

If you would like to know how I achieved this look, keep on reading.

I started off by applying my foundation, Lorac Natural Performance in NP 1 Porcelain. I blended this just using my fingers.

I then  applied my NYX HD concealer in CW01 and blended that out using my real techniques expert face brush.

I set my foundation and concealer using my Mary Kay loose powder in Ivory.

I then used my NYX eye brow pencil in dark brown to fill in my brows. They came out a little darker and more dramatic than I like but we will go with it.

I finished my brows by applying Tarte Amazonian clay brow gel in dark brown.

I then primed my lids using Lorac Behind the Scenes primer and blending that in with my ring finger.

I then applied the shade Harajuku (a cool toned pink) all over the lid using a flat shader brush.

I used the color Stark, a cool light brown and a crease brush and applied it in windshield wiper motions to the crease.

I then took that same crease brush and dipped it into Punk, which is a rich burgundy brown and applied that to the outer v.

I used a clean crease brush to clean up and blend out the color punk into the color stark.

I took the color stark which is a nice flesh looking color and a small crease brush and applied that as a highlight.

I took the Stila high shine liquid vinyl liner in the shade Java and drew a thin line (no wing) on my top lash line.

I used the Too Faced Better than Sex mascara on my top lashes. Tip: If you start with your mascara at the roots and move towards the ends of your lashes in a zig zag motion, it will help separate the lashes while you coat them.

I then took my Too Faced Milk Chocolate Soleil bronzer and a big fluffy brush and applied the bronzer all over my face to bring in some warmth.

I used my Too Faced Chocolate Soleil bronzer in medium deep and my Sephora contouring brush set and slightly contoured my cheeks, nose, and chin.

Using the shade Dream on from the Too Faced Everything Nice palette and a small blush brush, I cleaned up the contour between my cheek and my chin.

I used that same brush and my highlight Inner Light from the Too Faced Everything Nice palette and applied it in a "c" shape on my temples (above the brow and half a circle down and into the cheekbone).

I used my real techniques blush brush and the blush Sweet Pink from the Too Faced Everything Nice palette and I applied that right above my cheek contour on the apples of my cheeks and blending towards my ear.

I used the sample lipstick in the shade Firebird. I absolutely love this shade, it's kind of a magenta color. The only thing I really do not like is the formula. For me, this formula feels wet, granted it is not drying on the lips but I feel like it will be sliding over the place. It is definitely not the type of formula that I prefer, but it is a very pretty shade.

I finished the look off by setting my makeup with my Make Up For Ever Mist & Fix.

I hope you guys enjoyed this look!

Once again, thanks for reading :-)

Project Pan: Finish 16 in 2016: Intro

Hello everyone! I am back with an attempt at a project pan. This one is to finish 16 products in the year 2016. I hope this is easier for me as it is for the length of the entire year. I hope to put some of these products in seasonal challenges but we will see how it goes. I believe I first saw this challenge on Emily's channel on youtube, this is the link to her video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2p_TAQtjXKM if you want to watch it.

The products I will be trying to use up are as follows:

This one and the next product are kind of "cheat" products to give me some motivation to continue. This is a shimmery gold eye shadow shade that I have hit pan on. It is from my Sephora Enchanting eye palette. I have had this palette for quite a while so I really want to work on getting some of these shades out of my collection.

This is a medium brown shimmery shade that I have sort of hit pan on but not as dramatically as that shimmery gold shade.

This is another eye shadow, it is Dream on from the Too Faced Everything nice palette. I think I will be able to use this up quickly as I am multi tasking the shade and using it to clean up my face contour.

This is a blush, Sweet Pink, also from the Too Faced Everything nice palette. I am trying to pan this as I currently have three blushes and would like to move this one out of my collection.

These two products are also from the Too Faced Everything Nice palette. Gee, you would think I am trying to pan the whole palette, but I am not! hahaha. The product on the left is the Too Faced Chocolate Soleil bronzer; I want to pan this because I have 2 other bronzers that I would like to start using and I do not feel myself reaching for the others as much as long as this one is still in the running. The other product is the highlight in the palette, Inner Light. The reason I want to pan this highlight is because I really just don't enjoy it, I feel it has way too much "chunky" glitter which is not my thing for a face highlight.

This product is my Mary Kay Loose powder in Ivory. I want to pan this product for a couple reasons; for starters, this powder has been in my collection for quite some time now. Additionally, I don't like working with loose powder because for me, it is a little too messy, so I want it gone.

This is a lipstick that I have had for years now. If you can see, it is a little messed up, my little niece got a hold of it :). I want to try and pan it because I have a loooot of lipsticks and I just need a smaller number of colors to work with (or so I want to convince myself!! :) ) This is from Sephora and it is the shade Rouge R12.

This is MAC Media, it is a lipstick shade that I really enjoy, but I do not reach for it anymore as it is too dark to wear everyday (for work). I have had it in two previous project pans and it is also one of my older lippies. I hope this will be the last time it is in a project pan; If I cannot finish it, it will be time for this to be tossed.

This lippie was also in my last round of project pan. It is a deluxe size of the Kat Von D underage red. I am not sure if this shade is still available. Either way, I have other reds that I like more so I would really like to get this out of my collection. I am currently between the 2 and 3rd little stud. I hope to have this finished halfway through the year, if not sooner.

These came with my Urban Decay Gwen Stefani eye palette, they are little samples of her lipsticks; the shades are Rocksteady, 714, Ex-girlfriend, and Firebird. It might look like very little product but it honestly is a decent chunk. I'd like to use these up (they will count as one product) as I really have a lot of lipstick and need to move a lot out of my collection.

My last lip product is this Lippy by Butter London. It is a lip gloss in the shade Trout Pout. I want this out of my collection because it is old and because I honestly am not a lipstick gal. When I first got into makeup I absolutely loved lip gloss, I wore it all the time and rarely wore lipstick. Now, I don't know if my tastes have changed or what, but I absolutely hate lip gloss. I hate the sticky feeling, I hate having my hair get stuck to the lip gloss and I hate when my lip gloss covered hair leaves streaks all over my face. So I want it out. I tend to only use lip gloss to apply in the middle of my lip to give dimension, but that's it. Don't get me wrong, the product is not bad, I just do not like wearing lip gloss as much as I used to.

This next product is a nail polish. It is in the shade Concubine by MAC. Now, I know that I had a project polish going on but I kind of had to abandon it as most of the shades that I had in there are not work appropriate. However, the shades I have picked this year are. I believe I have half of this bottle left as I did make some progress through my project polish.

This next shade of nail polish is Show you care from Nicole by OPI. I like this dark vampy shade to wear in the winter time.

This shade is Sephora New Year's Redsolution and it is a shimmery reddish pink, which I absolutely love but do not use enough.

Lastly, I have this Estee Lauder nail polish in the shade Rosa Rosa, which is a rosey pink. I really like this color but again, do not wear it enough.

Those are all the products that I will be aiming to get out of my collection. I am aiming to post updates 4 times a year so update #1 will probably be some time in April. Stay tuned and wish me luck!

Are you participating in a project pan? Share what you are doing and your progress with me! I would love to see what you are trying to use up and how you are doing!
