Brand Spotlight: iSOCiETY COSMETICS

Hello everyone! Welcome back! Today I will be starting a new series that I will be calling "Brand Spotlight". It will be a way to showcase new brands as I discover them, or brands that I may be currently loving. I will try to include several products from the brand, review packaging, product quality, application, and create a look using the particular products.

For my first Brand Spotlight, I have picked a new brand. They are currently in their first year of business. I discovered them through instagram. They were offering a program to become what they call "Makeup Hunters". It is really beauty lovers like you and I that may blog, youtube, etc. and absolutely love trying new brands. I reached out to them and was accepted. I got a discount and hauled some products. The following are the products that I purchased:

This is a loose pigment, called Metalico. It is a very shimmery silver pigment. It packs a hell of a punch. This retails for $16. I believe they have other colors as well, but I went with this one. They also have other glitters/pigments and those come in red, green, blue, and gold.

I also got a cream shadow in the shade oh baby. This is a very light, shimmery baby pink. You can't see the swatches very well because the color is very similar to my skin tone. But it is very pretty, particularly to brighten up the lid. This retails for $14.

I also got a liquid liner in the shade purple orchid. This is a shimmer eggplant purple with a thin brush applicator. It is really easy to use and really helps to create a thin line. This retails for $14. I searched the website and they also have it in blue, and a shimmery olive green shade.

I also purchased a mascara intense. It is curling and volumizing and water resistant. It is also marketed as perfect for contact wearers. The want is a typical one, but the little stubby parts are tiny. This comes in dark brown, black and navy blue. I got the navy blue option. It costs $16. I was a bit scared to try blue but it is actually not bad, and it does provide volume and curl!

The last thing I got is a lipstick in the shade savoir faire. This is a orange-y nude, kind of reminds me of MAC Creme de nude. It applies smoothly and creamy. It feels moisturizing on the lips and gives off a bit of a shine to the lips. It retails for $16 and I found about 6 shades on their site.

Now on to the look....

Hid my undereye circles with my Tarte Under eye corrector in light medium and blended that out using an egg shaped sponge.

For foundation, I used L'oreal Pro Glow in 201, Classic Ivory. I used that same  sponge to blend out the foundation.

I used my Laura Mercier loose setting powder and an angled brush to set my concealer. As a side note, I was originally using the besame brightening powders but it totally dried out my under eyes so much that they have not been able to recover. Do any of you have suggestions for moisturizing the under eye area? If so, leave it in the comment section below!

To set the face, I used my Besame Violet brightening powder and a big fluffly brush.

For brows, I used my NYX brow pencil in dark brown and my essence lash and brow gel.

To prime my lids I used my Too Faced glitter glue, which I now realize I may not have needed with this cream shadow.

I applied the cream shadow in oh baby using a Shany brush (#16 from the 32 piece professional brush set).

I then used the loose pigment metalico and the same brush and applied that to the inner corner (this is the PERFECT inner corner highlight for that extra BAM! effect).

For the crease, I used the shade Mauve from my Lorac Pro and Shany brush #22.

Using brush #23 I applied the shade Cream as the brow bone highlight.

For bronzer, I used UD Gwen Stefani face palette in the shade Lo-Fi.

For blush, I picked a more berry toned shade to go along with the eye look. I used the UD Gwen face palette in the shade easy on a fluffy blush brush.

For highlight, I used that same palette and the shade Angel.

For liner, I used the iSOCiETY liner in purple orchid and created a wing.

I used the iSOCiETY mascara in hello sailor and applied to the top lashes.

For lips, I applied the shade savoir faire directly from the bullet.

I set the whole look using my Mario Badescu rose water spray.

I have to say, I really enjoyed every single product that I got. The shadows and lipstick are creamy and apply super easy. The mascara is very volumizing and give a curl (I will try it after I curl my lashes and see if that makes a difference). The liner is super pigmented and easy to apply. They do have a ton of other products as well such as blushes, bronzers, liquid lipsticks, eye brow kits, contour kits, etc.

I also got a discount code to share with you all and it will give you a 15% off sitewide! This code is valid through May 31, 2017. The code is natylook. Go and check out their website: http://isocietycosmetics.com/

Thank you all for reading! I do hope you enjoy this new series!
