June and July 2016 Empties

Hello everyone! Welcome to another round of empties. These past couple of months I really have not used up a whole lot of product, and some of what I have used up are recurring purchases. So, without further ado, bring on the products!

The first empty i have is a recurrent product, my all time favorite makeup removing wipes. These are the Neutrogena wipes in the light blue package. They do leave a bit of a greasy residue after you wash your face but I have not found a different wipe that removes as much makeup as easily as these do.

This next product is a body spray by Pink Victoria's Secret that I have had for the loooongest time. It is a fresh smelling scent, not too flowery, that is perfect for spring and summer. Although I really enjoy this spray, I am glad to have this baby out of my stash.

This next product is a liquid liner in felt-tip form. It is from Nyx. I must say I really liked this liner, it is easy to use and has very good color payoff. If you have liners like this, I would suggest storing these with the felt tip facing down that way the applicator does not dry out and it is easier to use.

This next product has quickly become one of my all time favorites, it is the Mario Badescu rose water spray. I used to spend over $20 each time for a setting spray before I discovered this baby. I love to spray this before I apply any makeup to make my skin feel fresh. I also use it to dampen my Beautyblender, and I use it after I have applied my makeup to set everything. I really do enjoy this product and it makes my makeup last just as long as my $20+ spray, but this one is $7. I do warn though that it does have a strong rose smell, so if you do not like strong smells or rose smell, this is not for you. (The scent won't stay on your skin forever but it does take some getting used to).

This foundation was a lifesaver during those dry winter months. It is the Bareminerals complexion rescue in the shade Opal. It has a thick consistency and is very moisturizing. I used my beautyblender to apply this but you can also use your fingers. This will definitely leave a dewy finish, but you can set it with powder to mattify the look a bit more. This product was soooo moisturizing, my dry sensitive skin loved it during the winter. I definitely see myself repurchasing this.

This is another product that saves my skin during the winter months, it is the Yes to Cucumbers moisturizer. The bottle has a pump, which makes dispensing just the right amount easy. This is also a thicker consistency so a little goes a long way. I absolutely love this, it is perfect for sensitive skin! I must warn though, it does have a cucumber scent which can take some getting used to. Once, I let my brother borrow a bit and he said his face smelled like salad the whole day (haha!).

My last dry skin/winter skin saver is this exfoliating scrub from Korres. This scrub has bigger exfoliating beads that get the job done. I like to dab some of it all over my face and then use a wash cloth damped with warm water and scrub my face in circular motions. It is great to get the dead skin cells off from areas like around your nose and mouth (where I am usually the driest). It has a mild kiwi scent so it is not too overpowering.

Finally, this is a sample size of the Nest perfumes. This one is the Amazon Lily. I absolutely loved this scent, it smells wonderful. These are rollerballs, so they are pretty easy and quick to use. The only thing I must note is that after a few hours I could not really smell this on myself, not sure if it was because I got used to the scent quickly, or because the scent evaporated quickly. But either way, I loved this scent.

Those are all the empties I have for these last couple of months. I hope you enjoyed this little overview and found some of it helpful.

As always, thanks for reading!

Biweekly Basket August 1st – August 14th

Hello everyone and welcome back! I am here with another round of biweekly basket. The following are products that I will be focusing on using for the next couple of weeks:

For eyes, I will be focusing on my Sephora Enchanting Eye palette. This palette does not have transition shades so I will be pulling some colors for transition from other palettes.

For highlight, I will be continuing to use my Too Faced Everything Nice Inner Light shade as I am currently panning this product.

For bronzer, my Too Faced Chocolate Soleil.

For blush, I will continue with my Sweet Pink blush from the Everything Nice Palette.

For lips, I will continue using my UD Gwen Stefani lipstick samples.

Most of these products are products I have in my finish 16 in 2016 (which I do not believe I will achieve) so you will see them repeated over and over. Hopefully it will not get too boring!

As usual, thanks for taking the time to read! Have a great week!

Too Faced Everything Nice blush in Sweet Pink.

Too Faced Everything Nice bronzer in Chocolate Soleil and highlight in Inner Light.

Mac lipstick in Snob.

And for the eyes, I will be focusing on using  my oldest palette, the original Naked palette from Urban Decay.

That's it for now! Thanks for reading. Have a great week!

Every Day Look using UD Gwen Stefani Palette

Hello everyone. Today I decided to do a natural every day look using my Urban Decay Gwen Stefani eye palette. If you would like to know how I achieved this look, keep reading.

First, I prepped my eye lids using my NYX HD eye primer and blended that out with my ring finger.

I then went in with a flat shader brush and the shade 1987, which is a bright shimmery gold, and applied that to the inner half of the lid.

I then used that same flat shader brush and went in with the color Serious, which is a shimmery/satin-y gray, and applied that to the outer half of the lid.

Using a crease brush, I applied the color Anaheim (a medium neutral brown that reminds me of MAC Cork) and applied that to the crease using windshield wiper motions to blend that out.

I then used the color Blackout (a matte black shade) on a small crease brush and applied that to the outer V blending it out.

I then skipped to my face and applied my Maybelline Age Rewind dark circle eraser in a triangle shape and blended that out using the smaller part of a beauty blender like sponge.

I set that using a small blush brush and the shade Heaven from Too Faced.

For foundation, I used my It Cosmetics CC Cream in the color Fair and used the bigger part of the beauty blender type sponge to blend out.

I used my Mary Kay loose powder in Ivory to set the foundation.

I filled my eyebrows in using my Nyx pencil in dark brown and used my essence clear gel to set them.

I then lined my upper lash line using my Nyx felt tip liner in black.

I used the shade Blonde which is a shimmery vanilla/banana cream shade and applied that using a small crease brush to my brow bone as a highlight. I also used this as a pop of color on the inner corner of the eyes.

I curled my lashes and used essence Get Big mascara for my top lashes.

I lined my waterline using my NYX wonder pencil in light.

Using my Sephora contour brush set and my Too Faced Chocolate Soleil bronzer in med deep, I slightly contoured my face.

I used the Too Faced Everything Nice palette and used the shadow dream on (a cream colored shade) and used that to clean up the contour. I used a small blush brush for this.

I used that same small blush brush and the highlight Inner Light and applied that to my cheekbones.

Using a blush brush, I applied the shade Sweet Pink also from TF Everything Nice to the apples of my cheeks and blended it out.

For lips, I opted for a brighter shade and used Fetish from Feral Cosmetics. This shade is a bright cherry pink (looks more red on camera). I applied this straight from the tube and did not use any lip liner

I set the look using my Mario Badescu Rose water spray.

I hope you enjoyed this look! Thanks for reading!
