Lorac Mega Pro 3

Berry Look Using Lorac Mega Pro 3

Hello everyone! Today I am here with a berry look using my Lorac Mega Pro 3 palette. I did this look so that it could still be work/day time appropriate.

As usual, I started priming my lids using my UD primer potion. I set that with the shade Cream from the Lorac Pro palette.

I applied the shade Cava (a light shimmery peach) to the inner corner.

I used the shade Cider, a champagne/light gold shade and applied that to the remainder of the lid.

I applied the shade Pomegranate (a shimmery watermelon shade) to the outer v.

I took the shade eggplant and slightly blended that into the crease and to the outer v.

I used the shades Dusty Mauve (light mauve shade) and Violet Gray (midtone mauve) and blended those above the crease and had it meet the shade eggplant.

To correct and conceal my under eyes, I used NYX corrector in fair and Too Faced Born this Way concealer in fair.

For foundation, my Tarte Amazonian Clay foundation in fair beige. I applied a few drops of the farsali rose gold elixir to my beautyblender to blend everything out smoothly.

I set my under eyes with my Laura Mercier translucent setting powder and a dry beautyblender.

I set my face with my Physicians Formula pressed powder.

I then cleaned off some excess powder from my under eyes.

I smudged some of the mauve-y shades under my lower lash line and connected it to the eggplant shade up top.

I used the shade espresso from my Lorac Pro to fill in my brows and set that with my essence make me brow in brownie brow.

I used the shade light pink (from Lorac Pro) as a brow bone and inner corner highlight.

I contoured with the shade Taupe from Lorac Pro.

For blush, I used iSOCiETY COSMETICS lady bug.

For highlight, I used iSOCiETY COSMETICS eye shimmer in oh baby and dabbed it on with my ring finger.

I set everything with my Mario Badescu rose water spray.

For my liner, I used Tarte clay pot in black.

For mascara, I applied two coats of my Lancome Monsier Big.

To finish off the look, I used my Revlon lipstick in Black Cherry.

I hope you enjoyed this look!

Colourpop: New Year's Day Look

New Year’s Day Look Using Colourpop

Hello all! Happy New Year! So, this is the look I rocked for New Year's Eve but I thought it would be perfect for New Year's day as it is not necessarily bold, and could be seen as an every day look. I used my newest palette, Colourpop All I see is Magic. This palette is LE, but I believe it might still be available and currently on sale for $14. You can get it here: https://colourpop.com/products/all-i-see-is-magic

To start off, I primed my lids using UD eye shadow primer and set that with Lorac Pro shade in Cream (a light pink matte shade).

I then took the shade Big Spoon (a warm orangish-rusty shade) in a matte formula, and applied it to the crease as a transition shade.

Taking a different brush and the shade Go Wish (a matte warm brown), I applied that to the outer V and blended it into the shade Big Spoon.

I then used a flat shader brush and the shade Tinsel Town which is a rose gold shade, and applied that to the lid.

I used my farsali rose gold elixir to moisturize my face.

To conceal and correct, I used NYX corrector in fair and Too Faced Born this Way concealer in fair. I blended that out with the smaller end of a damp beautyblender.

For foundation, I used my Tarte Amazonian Clay full coverage in fair beige and blended that with the same beautyblender.

I set my under eyes with a bit of the Laura Mercier translucent setting powder.

I set my face using my Physicians formula pressed powder.

For my brows, I used the shade espresso from my Lorac Pro palette and set that with my essence make me brow in brownie brows.

For brow bone and inner corner highlight, I used the shade Treat Yourself, a white shimmery shade.

I also smudged some big spoon and go wish to the lower lash line.

Taking the shade Taupe from the Lorac Pro, I applied that to the hollows of my cheeks as a contour shade.

For blush, I used Tarte Peaceful.

For a cheekbone highlight, I used iSOCiETY COSMETICS eye shimmer in oh baby and applied that with my ring finger in dabbing motions to blend out.

I set my makeup with my Mario Badescu rose water spray.

For mascara, I used Lancome's Monsieur Big. I have mixed feelings about this mascara. It does give volume but it also clumps my lashes, which is very frustrating!

To finish off the look, I used my Marc Jacobs sample lipstick in Kiss Kiss Bang Bang which is a rosey red.

I hope you all enjoyed this look! I think it looks good the way it is but if you want to add a bit more, you can always tight line your water lines (both top and bottom) or even take it to night time by adding some falsies.

I hope you all enjoyed this look! As usual, thanks for reading!

Monthly Palette: Lorac Mega Pro 3

Monthly Palette: January 2018

Hello everyone! Welcome to 2018! This year, I am going to try and use my palettes on a monthly basis to try and get more use out of each of them. I do have 13 palettes so I will probably double up on some months by pairing some of the smaller palettes together.

This first month, I want to focus on my Lorac Mega Pro 3 palette. I love this eye palette! It has everything! Dark shades, light lid shades, transition shades, cool tones, warm tones, anything you could need to achieve the perfect look. This is probably one of my all time favorite eye palettes so I am looking forward to using it for the month of January.

My Lorac Mega Pro 3 currently looks like this. If you can tell, I have already hit pan on the shades Pink Cream and Crepe. I use these every time I use the palette, mostly to set my eye primer and as a brow bone highlight.

This palette is set up like all other Mega Pros, two rows of mattes and two rows of shimmers.

My goals for this month will be to make some more dents on more of the shades, not necessarily hit pan, but use some more of the less used shades. If I happen to hit pan on any of the shades, great, but if not, I will happy either way.

Along side the Mega Pro 3, I will continue to use my original Lorac Pro palette, particularly the shades Taupe, and Espresso.

I cannot wait to post some creative looks using this palette! Stay tuned!

 Thank you all for reading!

Confessions of an Eye Palette Addict

Confessions of an Eye Palette Addict: Current Collection and 2018 Goals

Hello everyone! Happy 2018! I hope you all had a wonderful New Year's celebration. So, I am not very big on setting New Year's goals because honestly, I never keep them. But as usual, I like to attempt to re-evaluate where my collection is at particularly with eye palettes and lipsticks as I am completely obsessed! So, I went ahead and laid out all my eye palettes. As you can see, I have 13. That is a LOT. To be honest, probably more than a person actually needs. From looking at that picture, I can tell you that there are about three that I own that I really could do without. However, I do not want to simply throw them in the trash as they are still in good shape.

I do have one that is in rough shape, and that one is the one I will be focusing my attention the most. No, I am not going to do a pan that palette as I honestly like to alternate my palettes so that they all get the love and attention they deserve. I will however, focus on a select few shades from a particular palette to attempt to pan those shades. My hope is to make some dent in that palette before the end of this year. The palette I am talking about is my original Lorac Pro palette.

As you can see, this palette has been loved. It is pretty dirty and I have actually hit pan on 4 shades. I love this palette but it is my oldest of the bunch. It is probably about 4 years old or so, which for makeup is pretty old. It is at the "throw away" stage. I can honestly tell that it is a bit past its prime as the shade "Gold" used to be soooo pigmented and intense that I could not pull it off for work. However, it has since lost its intensity. For these reasons, this year I will focus on panning as many of these shades as I possibly can. By the end of this year I will be throwing this baby out. The colors I will be focusing on using up in their entirety are Taupe (a med-light brown) that I use to contour, Espresso (I use this on my brows), possibly cream and light pink as well. If I happen to hit pan on any of the other shades great, but if not, I will be happy if I am able to use up 4 of the shadows in their entirety. Once that is done, I will be tossing this in the trash.

I have also thought about a one month one palette but I am still not sure if I will do that or not. SO, stay tuned for that decision.

Do you have makeup that is past it's prime? Do you have any makeup or non-makeup goals for the year 2018? Share them in the comments below! I'd love to hear what you are working towards.

Thank you all for reading! I hope 2018 is a year full of happiness, blessings, and successes!
