Monthly Makeup Basket/One month One palette

Monthly Makeup Basket March 2018

Hello everyone! I hope you are all doing well. I am here with a quick monthly makeup basket/one month one palette. I want to start off by reviewing the palette I used in February. To remind you, for the month of February I selected the Karrueche x Colourpop Fem Rosa palette. It looks like this:

As you can tell, this palette is still fairly new to me. I must say, I really truly enjoyed the rosey tones in this palette. The formula is outstanding. I did notice though that the more metallic shades applied best by using your finger. The one downside I find is there is no transition shade for a true purple look, so I found myself pulling the shade Mauve from my Lorac Pro palette. Overall, this was a great palette! I believe Colourpop was just doing their last restock of this LE palette. I am not sure if it is still available, but if it is, I recommend getting your hands on it!

I was also focusing on my Lorac Pro palette. As you can see, I have made a bigger dent in the shade cream (second one from the left on the top row), as well as hitting pan on Taupe, and expanding the pan of Light Pink. I also made a bigger dent in the shade espresso. I honestly don't expect using up this entire palette but if I could use up 3-4 shades, I would be happy.

As for the month of March, I will be focusing on the following:

This is the palette All I see is Magic from Colourpop. I believe this one is also LE and still available. I used this once to create a look for New Years. I am pretty excited to be trying out this palette a bit more as I am truly impressed with the Colourpop formula.

For lips, I will be focusing on Feral lipstick in Envy. This is a true red, perfect for a statement lip.

I will also be using Kat Von D Lolita II, which would be a perfect "your lips but better" type of shade.

Finally, for blush, I am going to try to work on the shade Easy from the UD Gwen Stefani face palette.

That is it! I will try and create as many looks as possible for you using these products. Stay tuned!

Do you have any of these products? Are you doing any one month one palettes or any other challenges? Sound off in the comments below!

As usual, thanks so much for reading!

Romantic Red Look using Colourpop Fem Rosa palette

Romantic Berry Look

Hello everyone! Welcome back! Today, I have a nice berry look for you using my Colourpop Ft. Karrueche Fem Rosa palette. If you would like to know how I achieved this look, keep on reading!

As usual, I started off priming my lids using the UD primer potion and setting that with the shade Cream from my Lorac Pro palette.

I then applied the shade Duchess which is a matte pink, to the crease.

I took the shade Filly, which is a metallic rosey shade and applied that to the inner third of the lid.

I took the shade Empress, which is a light red metallic shade and applied that to the middle part of the lid.

I applied the shade Mademoiselle, which is a satin red shade and applied that to the outer third of the lid and crease.

I took the shade Missy, which is the matte purple, and placed that on the outer v to deepen out the look.

To correct and conceal, I used the Benefit Boi-ing concealer and my Nars Creamy radiant concealer.

For foundation, I combined my Tarte Amazonian in Fair beige and my Wet n Wild in Ivory.

As usual, I set my under eyes with my Laura Mercier translucent powder.

I set my face with my Physicians Formula pressed powder and a large fluffy brush.

I then used a clean brush to clear off the excess under eye powder.

I had just had my brows waxed so I skipped the powder and only used my essence make me brow gel in brownie brow (Don't mind my husband in the background...he was looking for something :P)

For a brow bone highlight, I used the shade light pink from my Lorac Pro palette.

As usual, the shade Taupe from Lorac Pro works as the perfect contour shade for my skin.

Using my UD Gwen face palette, I applied the blush in the shade Cherry to my cheeks.

I used iSOCiETY COSMETICS eye shimmer in oh baby as my face highlight.

I set everything with my Mario Badescu rose water spray.

I then went in with Tarte Cosmetics Sex Kitten liner and created a wing.

For mascara, I used my Sephora Lashcraft mascara.

Finally, for lips, I used Revlon's black cherry. If you want a more intense red shade instead of the berry, you could use MAC Russian Red or Nyx Snow White.

I hope you all enjoyed this look! Thanks again for reading.
