Biweekly Makeup Basket: March 20th – April 2nd

Hello all! Welcome to another round of makeup baskets! The following are the items I will be focusing on for the next couple weeks:

For eyes, I will be focusing on my new Tarte Tarteist Pro palette. This one is new to my collection and I have yet to play with it so I am pretty pumped!

For blush, I will be focusing on the iSOCiETY COSMETICS blush in ladybug.

For lips, I will be focusing on Snow White from NYX and Snob from MAC.

Bronzer will continue to be the same, Lo-Fi from UD Gwen palette.

Hopefully I can create some fun looks with these and post them during the next couple weeks!

Thanks so much for taking the time to read!

Tutorial: Wearable Red Lips
I decided to use some of my products from iSOCiETY from my most recent haul to create this look. If you would like to know how I achieved it, keep on reading.

I started off by priming my eyelids with Too Faced Shadow insurance and setting it with the shade Pink Cream from the Lorac Mega Pro 3.

I then took the shade Flash from the Kat Von D Metal Matte palette and applied that all over the lid.

Taking a crease brush, I applied the colors Oak and Suede to the crease as transition shades.

I took a different crease/outer v brush and applied the shade velvet to the outer v, blending in towards oak and suede.

For foundation, I used the iSOCiETY FHD-45 Cool Neutral and applied that with a beauty blender. This shade is a bit dark for me at the moment but I feel it will be a perfect shade in the summer.

To color correct my crazy dark panda eyes, I took Catrice camouflage corrector in the salmon shade and applied that with my ring finger. I blended that out with my beauty blender.

To highlight/brighten, I took the Nars Radiant Creamy concealer in Chantilly (this is a bit too light for me, what can I say, I am a hot mess!). I used the beauty blender to blend that out.

I set all that with my Laura Mercier loose setting powder.

For brows, I used my NYX eye brow pencil in dark brown and set that with my essence clear gel.

For contour/bronzer, I used Lo-Fi from the UD Gwen palette.

For blush, I used Ladybug from iSOCiETY. If you are really fair like I am, less is more with this product. I made the mistake of tapping a little too hard in the product and picked up an insane amount!

For highlight, I used Angel from UD Gwen palette.

I changed things up and set my makeup before liner and mascara. I used my Mario Badescu rose water spray.

For liner, I used my Tarte clay pot in black. I created the line with no wing.

For mascara, I used iSOCiETY mascara intense in hello sailor.

Finally, for lips, I used my iSOCiETY vinyl lips in BFF.

I hope you guys enjoyed this look, I definitely enjoyed playing with new products! If you would like to give iSOCiETY a try, shop using code "natylook" and get a 15% off. http://isocietycosmetics.com/

Brand Spotlight: iSOCiETY Cosmetics Haul #2

Hello everyone! I wanted to share my newest haul from iSOCiETY. Being a makeup hunter for the company provides me with a discount code to purchase some products and test them out. I by no means have to rave about their products. All I have to do is show the products in the packaging and show them being worn. I like to take the extra step and do some first impression type post to give you all my thoughts. So, without further ado, here are the products I got in my latest haul:

The first thing I got is a blush, lady bug. This is a very "spiced red" shade. It is highly pigmented and a bit dark. For fair complexion like mine, I suggest using a very very light hand as my brush did pick up a lot of product. I think this shade would be perfect for darker skin tones. This I believe is in a matte finish. Price is $16.

This next product is the Vinyl Lips in BFF. Vinyl lips is more pigmented than a lip gloss but does not quite set like a matte lipstick. I guess you can call it a glossy liquid lipstick. This shade is sort of a brick red. It goes on smoothly and easily, does not really set all the way. I love that it is definitely not sticky like lip gloss. However, if you do get your hair in the product, you can end up with the product all over your face. Overall, I did enjoy wearing this. This is $15.

I also got another shade in the vinyl lips, Lollipop. This is a bubble gum pink. I really enjoy this color. It is perfect for fair skin. This one applies similarly to the BFF shade. This is also $15.

This is a lipstick in the shade Just Out. I really thought this would be a bit more orange than it actually is. It is kind of a reddish orange lipstick. It is creamy, and applies well. This is $16.

I also got a foundation, FHD-N45 Cool Neutral. I believe this was the lightest shade they had available. It applies well and it is pretty full coverage. I applied with a beauty blender and it is definitely buildable. It kind of feels like a serum-y foundation, kind of like It Cosmetics CC cream, but this one blends easier on my dryer winter skin. It costs about $28, so it is a decent price for mid-high end. The downside is they only have about 6 colors, so that would be something to consider. They are a newer brand, so I would expect that they will be working on expanding these shades, but I do not know that for sure. Overall, I did enjoy this foundation, it was wearable, and light. The only downside was that this shade is a bit too dark for me at the moment.

I can honestly say that with two hauls, I have been very impressed with the quality and performance of these products. Everything is highly highly pigmented and easy to work with. The staff is also very responsive, they ship really quickly, and everything comes nicely packaged.

If you would like to purchase anything from them, head on over to their site, http://isocietycosmetics.com/. My code is still currently available through May 2017, use "natylook" and get a 15% off.

I hope you all enjoyed this little haul/first impressions!
