Lorac Mega Pro 3: Holiday Look #2

Hello everyone! I decided to create another look that could potentially be used as an every day look but also as a holiday look. If you would like to know how I achieved it, keep on reading!

I started with my under eye concealer, I used my Tarte Amazonian Clay corrector in light-medium. Applied this directly with my fingers and blended it out with my egg shaped sponge.

I used my L'oreal Infallible Pro Glow foundation in 201. I blended that out with my sponge.

I primed my lids with my Too Faced Shadow Insurance and blended that out with my ring finger.

I set that with the shade toffee, which is a light tan matte shade.

I went in with the shade Maple which is a medium warm matte brown and a large fluffy crease brush and applied that to the crease.

On a flat shader brush, I took the shade Rust and applied that to the outer 2/3 of the lid.

With that same brush, I took the color Cider and applied that to the inner 1/3 of the lid.

I took the color Bark, a darker cool toned brown, and applied that to the outer crease using the same fluffy crease brush.

I took the shade Dark Roast (a shimmery dark brown) and applied that with an angled brush to the outer V to deepen out the look.

I then went in with my Besame Violet brightening powder and set my concealer and my foundation.

I took an eye liner brush and dabbed the shade Pomegranate on the lower lash line.

I then used that same brush and dabbed some eggplant over the pomegranate.

I filled in my eye brows using my NYX brow pencil in dark brown and set that with my essence clear lash and brow gel.

I took the shade Crepe (a matte vanilla shade) on a small crease brush and used that as my brow bone highlight.

I took my Lo-Fi bronzer from the UD Gwen face palette and applied that as a contour and bronzer all over the face.

For blush, I used the same UD palette and the shade Cherry which is a cool toned pink that gives the "just went for a run" or "was just out in the cold" type of look. I applied that with a Real Techniques blush brush.

For highlight, I used my Laura Mercier Matte Radiance and my real techniques expert face brush.

For liner, I used my Tarte Amazonian Clay pot in black and my MUG bent liner.

I used my sample of Tarte camera lashes mascara for the top lashes.

For lips, I used my NYX soft matte lip cream in the shade Milan, which is a pretty barbie pink. If you want to go more for a "holiday" look, you can go with an orange-y red such as MAC Lady Danger, or Milani Passion.

For extra oomph, or drama, I added Ardell Demi 101 false lashes.

I set the whole look with my Mario Badescu rose water spray.

I hope you enjoyed this look! Thanks for reading!

Empties: October and November

Hello all! I am back with another round of empties/mini reviews. This time around I will be covering the months of October and November. Hope you all enjoy!

This shampoo has been a lifesaver! I really enjoy it! My hair is greasy at the roots, since I do have really fine hair. But it is also wavy, which requires moisture at the ends. This shampoo provides the necessary moisture for my ends without over-saturating the roots. I really do enjoy it! I got it at Ulta and I believe this size is about $24, so it is expensive but it did last me quite a bit, and you can use your Ulta points on it!

If you are an avid reader (or read once in a while) you know I swear by these wipes. They are THE best I have found to remove most of my waterproof makeup. I have used three in the last couple of months. I used the regular light blue, the purple which are more hydrating/"night calming", and the green ones which are more of the natural ones. The green ones are kind of a hit or miss, one package will be extra dry, and a different package may be a little moisturizing. So although I do love getting more natural products, I would rather not take the gamble as extra dry means I need to scrub at my sensitive skin more. These run about $6-7. You can get these almost anywhere.

This is a blistex lip balm. I don't usually go through lip balms as I tend to lose them. But this one I actually used up! I use it in the morning and before bed and it is really moisturizing to the lips.

These are the last of the samples that I have from Nest perfumes. I really like these perfumes but I feel the scent does not last long enough on me, I don't know if I quickly desensitize from the smell or what. Out of these three, my favorite is white sandalwood, it is a little more musty, perfect for fall/winter. My second favorite would be paradise, it's got the floral and a little of musty smell. Verde I did not care for all too much but did not mind wearing. You can get the full sizes of these at Sephora, they are each $68 for a 1.7 fl oz.

This is a Korres kiwi exfolliating scrub. I got this to use on my face, but I was not impressed. I think this would be good for spring/summer, but it just did not give me the level of exfoliation that I need for the colder months. I got this on sale for $10 at Sephora. The smell is great though!

This is the It Cosmetics CC cream in Fair. I really enjoyed this foundation. I liked applying it with a wet sponge, I found that if I applied it with a brush or my fingers it was too much, and it looked heavy and cakey on my skin but with a wet sponge, it gave the perfect coverage. This is more of a serum-y type foundation, so as the weather got colder, I found it harder and harder to apply. I think this is great for dry skin over the spring or summer, but definitely does not work well for me during the colder months. I believe this is $38 and you can buy it at Ulta and now Sephora, or the It cosmetics website.

Finally, I went through yet another Mario Badescu spray. I cannot get enough of this! It feels great on the skin, I love the smell (reminds me of my grandmother), and it costs $7 at Ulta, you can't beat that! I will always repurchase this!

That is all for my empties for these last couple months. I hope you enjoyed reading this and found at least some of it useful. If you have tried any of these products, let me know in the comments below what you think of them!

Thanks!
