Finish Five by Fall
Hello everyone! I hope you have been having a good weekend!

If you love beauty blogs and read them and watch youtube videos, you might be familiar with a group on youtube that does what is called Project Pan. Project Pan is pretty much about discovering what you already have in your makeup collections and shrinking these collections down to more manageable ones. Usually, Project Panners have certain challenges that they follow in order to diminish the amount of products they have. I have been following some of these ladies on youtube, and have seen their progress, which has been very impressive. (Some of the project panners are: Amber F, check out her videos here: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCek9Y_cUU5G0D1wAO6lsOxQ ; Megan https://www.youtube.com/user/megsmakeup8 and Emily  https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC1ZQxIIpmUkoIlY6vD7iXDA ). I have officially decided to partake in one of their challenges. I will be participating in the "Finish Five by Fall". I have picked five products that I would like to use up by fall, which is September 23rd this year. The following are the products I have picked:

The first item I picked is a small body spray from Bath & Body Works. It is called Venice Dolce Berry. It is very summer/spring-y. I don't know if you can see but I have marked where I am starting at with some pink nail polish. I am certain I can get this used up by fall.

This is a deluxe sample of an eye cream by Tarte. It is called Maracuja C-brightener eye treatment. There isn't a whole lot of product left in this so I do believe I can use this up way before fall.

This is a bareMinerals eye liner in black. I have had this for a very long time so I think it is time to move it out of my collection. The eyeliner itself is very creamy and I usually have to sharpen it after I've lined both eyes so I believe I can use this up as well. Also, I measured it by standing it up against my moisturizer bottle.
This is a lipstick by MAC in the shade Up the Amp. I believe I am cheating with this one as I already said I wanted to use it up by the end of this year. I feel it is ok to mix it in this challenge just so I can move it out quicker. If you would like to check the color, check out my lipstick posts here: http://delightfulbalanceoflife.blogspot.com/2015/03/project-use-it-up-lipstick-updates.html
This is MAC Russian Red. Again, this might be cheating but it will help me move these lipsticks out quicker and get me working on the other lippies I want to use up.

I will try to update you on this project every couple of weeks or so, definitely at least half way between now and the end of the challenge. I hope you guys enjoyed reading this! Please let me know if you are a Project Panner and if you are participating in this challenge!!

Thanks for reading!

Summery Purple Lips and Neutral Brown Eyes

Hello everyone! So I come with a tutorial for you. For this look, I used my Too Faced Chocolate Bar for a neutral/every day brown eye and made the look pop with my MAC Up the Amp Lipstick. If you'd like to know how I achieved this look, keep reading!

As usual, you want to start off by prepping your eyes. I am using my Too Faced Shadow Insurance.

I then used a flat shader brush and the color White Chocolate from the Too Faced Chocolate Bar and applied this all over the lid and up to the brow bone.

*Ignore my bad manicure* I used a small crease brush and applied the color Milk chocolate in the crease using windshield wiper motions, moving the brush back and forth to blend.

Then, I used the flat shader brush and applied the shade Hazelnut all over the lid (you want to press the color in lightly, and not swipe it; if you swipe, the color application won't be as effective and you will actually blend the color in)

I then went in with a bigger fluffier crease brush and applied the color Semi-Sweet into the crease, concentrating the color on the "outer V", or the outer part of your crease and blend in.

Then, use that flat shader brush, or if you have a smaller one, better! Apply the color Marzipan to the inner corner of the eye. Remember to pack it on and not blend!

Then apply your foundation or BB cream and blend. I am using the Tarte Amazon Clay full coverage foundation.

I am then setting my eye brows using the Tarte Amazonian Clay eye brow gel. When using this product, do small, gentle strokes in an upward motion and then brush the brow hairs over.

I am then applying my under eye concealer. I am using Neutrogena Healthy Skin eye Perfector. Apply this in a triangle shape underneath the eye. DO NOT blend!! We will do that later. You want to make that triangle shape, fill it in but do not blend. You want the product to work with your body's heat so that it can absorb and cover up a lot better.

While we are waiting for that concealor to warm up, proceed to apply your bronzer. Since it's summer time and you might go for a more natural look, do not apply so harshly as you would a contour, but blend the color in that general direction and blend it out into the forehead.

Regardless of my ridiculous face, now it is time to blend out the under eye concealer.

Using a fluffy crease brush, apply the color Champagne Truffle as a brow bone highlight.

Now apply your mascara. I am using Kat Von D Immortal Lash and Make up Forever Smoky Extravagant.

Now apply your blush, I am mixing Sweet Pink and Papa Don't Peach from my Too Faced Everything Nice palette.

Now apply your highlight on the places you want to emphasize. I applied it to the temples, down the bridge of the nose, and the cupid bows.

I am then applying my MAC lipstick, Up the Amp.

I am then finishing up my look and setting it with my Make Up Forever Mist and Fix.

I hope you enjoyed the look! Thanks for reading!

Empties: April-June
Hello everyone! So, it has been soooo long since I have posted anything! It's crazy, I have been such a bad procrastinator! Every week I say, "naw, I'll post tomorrow" and here we are months later! However, I am back and I am planning to get myself back in check to my regular posting schedule. So, without further ado, these are the empties from April to June.

Benefit Speed Brow- I got this because I had a gift card to Sephora. I got it in the "Neutral". It was a decent product if you are looking for setting your eyebrows and keeping them in place. However, the price is $18 so if you are hoping to get more color into your brows, I would say to look for another product. Another thing I disliked about this is I used up most of the product but there was a weird build up at the top of the bottle that I could not get, so it was wasted. I don't think I will be purchasing this again.

This is a dry shampoo that I got from Ulta. The brand is Batiste. It smells wonderful, flowery and girly. I really liked this product, except for the fact that you reaaaally need to rub the product in unless you want it to seem like you are graying a lot! This is $7.99 at Ulta.

This is the Kat Von D Tattoo liner, in the shade Trooper, it is a sample size. I have got to say, I absolutely adored this eye liner. It goes on smoothly, and lasts all day and is super easy to use. I might be purchasing this in the future. I believe you can get this at Sephora, and the full size is $19.

I absolutely loved this face mask. It is a mint chocolate chip. It was refreshing, and I absolutely loved the smell. This sells at Ulta for like $1 (maybe $1 and change).

This is a drugstore lip liner from L'Oreal. Even though I don't think I actually had this in my project Use it Up, I am pretty pumped about using up a whole lip liner!! Woo!!!

These are the Neutrogena makeup removers. The top one is the Night Calming ones and the blue packaging is the regular ones. I absolutely love using these to remove my makeup and following my routine up with a face wash.

When I placed an order from Ulta I got this Matrix conditioner sample along with a shampoo sample(can't seem to find the empty). I tried both out; they smelled very perfume-y, so if you are not into that, I would not recommend this. Additionally, I feel like it stripped all shine out of my hair so I do not believe I will be purchasing this. Full price for this item is $18-29 each, depending on the size you pick.
Finally, I had been using this shampoo from Ulta; it is volume & strength, paraben and sulfate free. I was really liking it but I recently went to Whole Foods and got an organic shampoo that I have been loving. This shampoo retails for about $5.99 (for the size I got), additionally you can find it on those Ulta specials.

That is it for all my empties. I hope you enjoyed reading these. If you have tried any of these products, share your thoughts with me in the comments!
Have a good weekend!
